Jacqueline Walters-Hutton (School Principal)
Jacqui is one of the founders of the Island Project, and has been fundamental in its growth from concept to the successful school that it is now. Jacqui is a member of the National Association of Head Teachers.
Carol Howe (Resource Manager)
Carol has an HND in Institutional Management and has been involved in ABA and PECS delivery for 8 Years, she is also one of the founders of The Island Project, and has been fundamental in the schools set up.
Rachael Ryland BCaBA (Head of Education and Behaviour Services)
Rachael is a Board Certified Associate Behaviourial Analyst, with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. Rachael has a Post Graduate certificate in ABA and developmental disorders, and has worked with Autistic children for over 9 years. Rachael manages the team of tutors and supervises the ABA programmes and creates pupil IEP's. Rachael has been involved in the setting up of the Island Project from the very beginning.
Emma Barrett (School Business Manager)
Emma has been involved with the charity since its set up four years ago. Emma comes from a Public Administration background, has an HNC in Public Administration and is responsible for the management, finance and administration of the school.
Michele Haynes (Creative Learning Supervisor)
Michele comes from a diverse background of teaching and caring for children and young adults with special needs, she has NVQ qualifications in social care and has been involved in the school since the charity was set up. Michele delivers the topic, literacy, arts and crafts lessons and is responsible for the supervision of staff.
Charlotte Slater BSc (Hons) MSc (Behavioural Analyst)
Charlotte has several years ABA experience working with children with Autism. She has experience of providing behavioural analytical services for families within home and school settings. Charlotte has responsibility under the guidance of the Head of Education for supervising ABA programmes and creating pupil IEP's.
Nicole Sheehan (Transition Co-Ordinator)
Nicole has worked with children with autism for 7 years, on home programmes and within mainstream school. She provides one on one tutoring to the children and is also responsible for Health and Safety and ensuring a smooth transition process for new pupils. Nicole has classroom assistant qualifications at level 2 and is studying NVQ Level 3 supporting teaching and learning in schools.
Robert Middleton (ABA Tutor)
Rob comes from a sports teaching background and has previous experience of working with children with autism. Rob provides one on one tutoring to the children. He is also responsible for Physical Education within school. Rob is studying NVQ Level 3 supporting teaching and learning in schools.
Sandra Winkel BSc (ABA Tutor)
Sandra has a BSc (hons) in Psychology and comes from a background of working with children with autism. She is currently completing MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis.
Kathryn Bingley (Senior ABA Tutor - Part Time)
Kath has an NVQ level 3 in childcare and education and has worked with Autistic children for over 8 years, she has completed many courses in autism and communication and is highly experienced in PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).
Natalie Storer BSc (ABA Tutor)
Natalie has a BSc (hons) in Psychology. She has experience working with autistic children both in the UK and during her time in India where she helped set up a sensory unit for children with special needs.
Sonny Jevons (ABA Tutor)
Sonny has a diverse background in care and is degree educated. Sonny tutors children on a one on one basis.
Jenny Lowe (ABA Tutor)
Jenny comes from a background in social care. Jenny tutors children on a one to one basis. Jenny has NVQ's in social care.
Tracey Wilkins (Resource and Volunteer Co-Ordinator)
Tracey is responsible for preparing all the PECS and learning materials. Tracey also supervises voluntary workers.
Pippa Bills (ABA Tutor)
Pippa has several years experience working in an ABA school in Australia. Pippa tutors children on a one to one basis.
Michael Johnson (Lunchtime Supervisor/Classroom Assistant)
Mike joined the school recently. Mike has come from a background of Administration. He offers support to the pupils during lunchtime periods and assists the tutors in their role.
Sidney Allen (Estates Manager/Caretaker)
Sid has recently joined the Island Project and is resident Caretaker at the new school at Diddington Hall. Sid is responsible for the maintenance of the building, security and general site duties. Sid has been resident Estates Manager at the Hall for 10 years.

All staff are fully trained in First Aid, Child Protection, PECs and Studio III.
